Famicare, Inc. Logo“FAMICARE”   stands  for  FAMILY  CARE & PRESERVATION  Inc (as  it  is  called  for  service  to  the  ALMIGHTY)   was  founded  by Dr. IMMA  PATRIA  BELLO – BARCELO,  on  March 28,  1998.  The  Organization,  a  Non – Government,  (NGO)   was   vested  with  a  juridical  personality  a  year  later (’99)  thru  the  issuance  of  its  Certificate  of  Registration  by  the  SECURITIES  &  EXCHANGE  COMMISSION  (SEC) of  its  approved  Articles  of  Incorporation  and  By-Laws.

The  next  action  is to  look  for  people  who  will  share  the  burden  of  serving  GOD  thru  serving  people.  At  the  outset  it  was  difficult  as  many  problems  arose most  especially  on  its  financial  foundation.   A  majority  of  those  approached  to  join  would  inquire  of  the  material benefits  in  return  for  their  service. This  first  encounter  of  a  problem  almost  forced  us  to  give – up,  but   truly,   when   GOD   calls  one,   it   is  final,  leaving  no  option  but  obey.

Organizational Profile

 

The struggle was mentally and emotionally intense when the first commitment had been sounded off by women and children. Their concern to protect women and children against human depravity and any form of violence against them took center-stage and thus became the primordial mission of this organization.

The rate of domestic violence, primarily, rape, murder, abuse of both children and women increased to a very alarming proportion. The unusual number of unattended and street children prompted this organization to conduct a research and study focusing on these phenomena. It was likewise, assumed that the second observed situation above was an off-shoot of runaways from their homes and families. Together these were perceived to have caused the family disintegration and consequently resulting in social chaos.
